About Our Nation

The COMMON GROUNDS is a sovereign Indigenous nation with inherent authority derived from the Creator, our ancestors, and our continuous connection to our homelands.

Our governance is grounded in international law — including the ICCPR, UNDRIP, ILO 169, and ADRIP — as well as the foundational principles of the Northwest Ordinance of 1787.

Membership is open to lineal descendants, community-connected and like-minded individuals who share our commitment to cultural continuity and national sovereignty.
Our mission is to promote unity, healing, and cultural preservation within our community. While uplifting humanity, we strive to create a safe space for individuals trying to reconnect with their cultural roots and spiritual beliefs. We welcome all that align with our values and principles, like minded individuals, families, and organizations. We are committed to upholding and bring together those who want to privately rebuild for the futures to come.
